Fried chicken chain raises funds for Bronco’s player foundation

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Founder and CEO Todd Graves stopped in Denver for a fundraiser to benefit Denver Broncos player Ron Leary’s Ron Leary Reach Foundation. The all-day fundraiser raised $5,500 for the charity, which focuses on underserved youth.

Denver foundation gives $55 million in 2017

The Daniels Fund, a Denver-based foundation started by the “father of the cable TV industry,” Bill Daniels, announced grants worth more than $55 million to nonprofits in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming in the 2017 calendar year. The foundation focuses on aging, amateur sports, drug addiction, childhood education, homelessness and youth development.

Law firm teams up with Ronald McDonald House

Members of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Denver office fed about 30 people at the local Ronald McDonald House. Families were treated to enchilada casserole, salad and dessert. The law firm says it’s planning on doing it again later this year.

$22K raised at “Super Bowl of Kindness”

The Make A Wish Foundation, Mind Spark Learning and the Colorado AIDS Foundation were among 55 charities that shared $22,000 in donations from Jay’s Valet. The Denver-based car valet service gave the money as part of its Super Bowl of Kindness, a prediction-style game timed to coincide with the Super Bowl.

Colorado Sports Hall of Fame announces donation recipients

The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame said 22 charitable organizations will share $200,000 in donations raised at its annual awards banquet, golf tournament and other fundraising events. Gold Crown Foundation, Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives, Damon Runyon Field Sports Complex of Pueblo and YMCA of Metro Denver were among the named recipients.
